I have spent the past 20 years doing accounting and business consulting for a wide variety of small businesses. After getting my Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Arizona in 2001, I began my career for a large Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm. After a few years, I realized my favorite part was getting to work directly with small business clients helping them get useful information for the operation of their businesses. My focus is on helping people not be intimidated by accounting, spreadsheets, taxes, etc. I see accounting as a foreign language, and it is my job to help translate it.
Currently, I am treasurer of two non-profits. I enjoy using my accounting skills to help give back to the community. I am originally from southern Mississippi and have lived in Tucson, Arizona since 1997 after meeting my husband on the internet (dial up!). We have one human child and one canine child and are deeply in love with both. It is my love of dachshunds and desire to make accounting not so serious that inspired my business name. Since the start of the pandemic, I have become totally obsessed with knitting.
